Thrifty's into concert promo with Max Webster

Noted national clothing chain Thrifty's is making an endeavor to become involved in the concert promotion business. Their first effort in the field will be a series of concerts headlining Anthem recording group Max Webster over two other popular Canadian groups, Fat Cat (Polydor) recording group Goddo and another Anthem act, Foot In Cold Water. The first series of concert dates for the tour will be the Fraser Auditorium in Sudbury August 6, MacIntyre Rink in Timmins (7), the High School of Commerce in Ottawa (8), and the Capitol Music Hall in Cambridge (9).

Max Webster has also recently been confirmed as opening act for fellow Anthem recording artists Rush in a series of late summer major concert bookings. These dates include the CNE Grandstand August 23, and three British Columbia dates in September, including Kamloops (12), Victoria (13) and Vancouver (14).

Following the B.C. dates, Max Webster prepare for a series of dates in the western U.S.
